Job Title: Architect

Role description:

We require a qualified Architect with an interest in sustainability to join our small practice in Dunoon. Our growing workload means we need a skilled Architect to support the Principal. This will be a varied role with the potential for you to help, grow with, and inform the development of, the practice.

Role Requirements:

The role requires an exceptional member of staff who is skilled, dedicated and self-motivated.

Personal Qualities: You should be: Professional, responsible, positive, flexible, pro-active, and have initiative.

Skills Required: Outstanding communication, both written and verbal. Excellent design skills from concept to detail with proven detailing ability. Excellent interpersonal skills to work with clients and colleagues. Able to plan ahead, problem solve, find creative solutions, realise ideas and work as part of team.

Ideally you will have a background in sustainable design and building. In such a small team, it is essential that every staff member is able to work as needed and respond effectively and quickly. Your role may require some overseeing of junior staff, and you should be as comfortable managing people as taking direction.

Software: ArchiCAD BIM (training available), MS Office.

Qualifications: ARB Registration (other experienced candidates may be considered)

Job Title: Architectural Technologist or Technician

We are looking for a Technologist or Technician to join our small practise in Dunoon.

Role description:

Reporting directly to the practice owner, we’re looking for an exceptional member of staff who is skilled, self motivated and keen to learn. We need someone who can turn their hand to varied tasks as and when required in a professional, courteous and friendly manner.

We can offer flexible working hours and arrangements, and a supportive working environment.

Qualifications Required

Qualification in Architectural Technology. Experienced technicians and RIBA Part 2 also considered.

Skills Required

Full Mac-based computer literacy and experience of CAD programs are essential. ArchiCAD BIM (training provided), MS Office desirable.
