Colin L Potter BSc DipArch ARIAS RIBA

The founder of Architeco, Colin is passionate about the environment.

He is an ARB registered Architect, and a Chartered Architect with membership of the RIAS & RIBA.

One of the first Architects in the UK to become a Certified Passive House Designer, Colin has gained RIAS Accreditation in Sustainable Architecture, and is a member of the Scottish Ecological Design Association and the Passivhaus Trust.

Formerly an Associate at Robert Potter & Partners Architects, Colin has over 20 years experience working in architecture with extensive experience of Housing, Healthcare, Leisure and Conservation projects, including New Build, Conversions and Extensions.

He has been Project Leader for a Community Trust Sustainable Village initiative, given several presentations on low energy design and Passivhaus, and is the designer of Europe’s smallest inhabited Passive House.

Agnieszka Sobiegraj   MSc  MArch and Urb

Agnieszka gained her Masters in Architecture and Urbanism at Gdansk University of Technology in Poland in 2008, followed by Postgraduate Studies in architecture and urban revitalisation of city areas at the same university in 2014. She worked on a number of projects in Poland before joining Architeco in 2019, with a goal of become an ARB registered Architect In the near future.

Agnieszka’s key interests in architecture are heritage projects, accessibility, and inclusiveness.

Chris Johnstone BSc DipArch

Chris graduated from the University of Strathclyde in 2010 with a Postgraduate Diploma in Advanced Architectural Design, after gaining practical experience at practices in both Glasgow and Abu Dhabi. He started working at Architeco in 2015 as an Architectural Assistant and is currently gaining experience towards his Professional qualification, working on a number of bespoke low energy residential projects. With a keen interest in energy efficiency, Chris is our building energy analyst, ensuring the optimum energy performance of our designs.

Duncan Henderson BSc MArch

Duncan obtained his Master of Architecture qualification from the Scott Sutherland School of Architecture, Aberdeen in 2015. Attracted by the company’s ethos and unique approach to sustainability, he joined Architeco in 2016 as an Architectural Assistant. With interest in developing low impact solutions working towards self sustaining environments, Duncan recently obtained a Certificate in Permaculture Design and is now working towards gaining his RIBA Part III qualification.

Marcelo Badilla MSc

Marcelo graduated from Valparaiso University, Chile and the Polytechnic University of Madrid. He has a Master’s Degree in Urban Renewal and Rehabilitation from Santiago de Compostela University and studied Building Inspection, Repair and Maintenance Specialist at A Coruña University.

Marcelo is a member of the Galician Association of Architects and has worked in residential, renewal and public space projects in Chile and Spain prior to relocating to the UK. He has a passion for projects that involve sustainable living & those that respect the local culture and surrounding landscape.

Owen Dore Dip/MArch, ARB RIBA

Owen is an ARB registered Architect, and Chartered Architect with membership of RIBA.

Owen joined Architeco in 2019. He has a passion for the outdoors and natural landscapes, which informs his interest in how we can design and construct buildings with sensitivity to their surroundings. He also has a strong interest in how we experience spaces, and how that can be kept in sync with the environment.

Formerly project architect for AJ100 firm Holder Mathias Architects, working across architecture, urban design and masterplanning, Owen was responsible for leading the delivery of high quality retail and leisure projects.
